Audi parking sensors (APS Plus)  OPS Front and Rear  Retrofit

Audi Parking System provide a visual display of the Vehicle on the radio or navigation system screen, showing the vehicles position and distance from obstacles. The location of any obstacle within range of the ultrasonic sensors is highlighted on screen.

How does the system work ?

Eight ultrasonic flush mounted sensors detect the distance to the obstacle and feed their measurements to the parking aid  control unit. As soon as the distance decreases to less than 120 centimeters in front of the vehicle or less than 160 centimeters behind it, an intermittent signal sounds. If the distance falls to less than 30 centimeters, the signal becomes a continuous tone.

Also, if your MMI is turned off the screen will pop up when parking aid is active and hide back when the APS deactivates. ( models with auto MMI screen)

At speeds above 15 km/h the system is automatically deactivated. The system can also be switched off by pressing a on/off button.

Front and Rear OPS system  is Towbar compatible. However it has to be a OEM factory fitted towbar or aftermarket towbar with dedicated electrics.
